Support Family Payment Rates

Support Families are reimbursed for the care they provide through a stipend from the provider agency by whom the family is certified or licensed.  This agency is responsible for ongoing monitoring of the Support Family. Payment to a Support Family can range from approximately $14,000 to $ 34,000 or more per year depending on the program paying for the child’s care and the child’s specific needs.  Payments to families are typically considered non-taxable income.
